Nashville Guide | A Couples Weekend
So excited to share all the details of our little romantic weekend getaway to Nashville, TN. We just got back from one of the most memorable trips and we couldn’t wait to share all about it. If you are looking for fun, romantic, & unforgettable things to do in Nashville, Tennessee let us take all the hassle out of planning for you. Plan a couples getaway or even a staycation filled with delicious foods, immaculate accomadations, and plenty of fun, romantic activities that will make this a trip you won’t forget!
Where to Stay
Westin Nashville
One of the most important things to us when finding a great hotel for a couples getaway is a central location which is why Westin Nashville is perfect. Located downtown and walking distance to all the popular things to do, means we did not have to drive our car much throughout the entire weekend. Since parking in downtown Nashville can be limited and expensive, the fact that we didn’t have to worry about that because of our hotel location was just an added bonus we didn’t know we needed.
To say the least, we were blown away with our stay! We were already squealing with excitement when we booked it and saw the pictures online, but our stay at the Westin Nashville truly exceeded our expectations.
The lobby and aesthetic of the hotel is luxe with gorgeous spots every where you turn for pictures. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed on the 22nd floor with epic views of the city.
The best part is the rooftop bar, pool, and restaurant, L27 Rooftop Lounge. The vibes here are some you have to check out if you are visiting Nashville. The pool overlooks downtown so it feels like you’re swimming on top of the city.
Even if you don’t want to swim, go and try the drinks, food, and enjoy the views of the city. Get there early as soon as they open (at the time of this post they open at 10a) to get pictures in the pool before the crowds of people show up.
Westin Nashville has so much to do that for one day we didn’t even leave our hotel. So let’s get more into that!
What to Do
Couples Massages at Rhapsody Spa
We enjoy the high energy of Nashville, the Music City, but for a couples getaway we try to always make time to do some relaxing activities also. So when we saw Westin Nashville has a spa - Rhapsody Spa - we knew couple massages is the ultimate baecation experience and we had to do it! I mean it when I say, this was the best massage of our life, no exaggeration. Okay to be completely transparent this was only my 3rd massage and Brennan’s first so we didn’t have much to compare it to still these massages were life-changing! We both felt incredibly refreshed, relaxed and alleviated of all body aches! This is what vacation is suppose to be and we are now forever hooked on getting couple massages! Our experience didn’t end there. After our massages we sipped champagne in the Rhapsody Spa Relaxation Room and de-stressed in the sauna and steam showers. This is a luxury we don’t treat ourselves to often and that’s what a romantic getaway should be filled of - treating yourselves to moments you’ll never forget.
Rhapsody Spa is open to the public so you do not need to be a resident of the Westin Nashville to book a treatment.
Take a Walk on John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Just a short 5 minute walk from the hotel is a pedestrian bridge with great skyline views of the city. You can find electric scooters on just about every corner of downtown Nashville and zip around the bridge or just enjoy a walk and take some cool pictures. We have a tradition where we take a kissing picture everywhere we visit together and this bridge is the perfect place to do that since it gives you the best backdrop of the city.
If you like to travel, I highly suggest starting your own tradition of taking pictures in front of famous backdrops of different places you visit. It will be fun to look back on and see all the places you traveled to. Plus it’s a fun thing to do together as a couple every time you travel.

Music on Broadway
Less than a 5 minute walk from Westin Nashville is Broadway which you should definitely visit at least once on your trip. There’s live music, bars, restaurants, and shopping. Nashville is the music city and the heart of country music so you will be able to find live country music playing just about anywhere, but if you are like us and favor other genres then you should check out Jason Aldeans. It’s hands down my favorite bar on Broadway! It’s a bar and restaurant with 4 floors of live music and sometimes you can catch them playing music other than country. They also have a rooftop bar with great views of the city skyline and Broadway so you can get some great pictures. Also The Valentine is another bar with a great rooftop and a variety of music choices.
Watch the Sunset at Lovers Circle
You will quickly learn that we love watching sunsets. They are romantic, magical and something we can do together no matter where we are in the world. So when we travel we like to find the best spots to see a gorgeous sunset while we cuddle up and reminisce on our favorite things about the trip. Check your weather app for the time of sunset and head to one of these spots to get some gorgeous views of the sunset:
Lovers Circle - Love Cir, Love Cir Nashville TN
L27 Rooftop Lounge at Westin Nashville - 807 Clark Place, 27th Floor, Nashville, TN
John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Be a Big Kid at Pins Mechanical
This place was so cool! It’s an arcade for adults and one of the most fun things we have done in a long time! There was just about every game you could think of from mini bowling, classic arcade games, video games, pinball machines, to board games. The drinks were delicious and reminded you of a carnival, made with things like candy and popsicles. We spent hours in here playing different games and met up with my brother and his girlfriend for a double date. No matter how old you are, you will find something fun to do here.
Swim & Chill at Rooftop Pool
The pool at L27 Rooftop Lounge is reserved for hotel residents of Westin Nashville only which is another reason why you should book your stay at the Westin Nashville. One day we spent the entire day at our hotel and this is where we spent the morning. We got there as soon as they opened at 10a and had the pool all to ourselves for a few minutes. It felt like a scene out of a movie. But even if you aren’t staying at the Westin you should still visit the L27 Rooftop Lounge, grab a drink, something to eat, and just enjoy the captivating atmosphere and views. It is truly an elevated experience in the middle of downtown Nashville and it the perfect place to take your date.
Wine Tasting
During the summer months the Westin Nashville hosts winemaker dinner series. The chef curates a special menu with each entree paired with a different wine. We enjoyed a 5-course dinner and wine from Revana and Alexana Wineries paired to each course. It was a rare experience we will never forget. The wine was some of the best we’ve ever had and the food was incredibly matched. Even though this is not year around, if you are making a trip to Nashville definitely check out the wine tasting scene. Here are some you should check out:

What to Eat
Biscuit Love
Nashville takes their brunch scene seriously so there are lots of great spots to try but the one place you have to visit at least once is Biscuit Love. It’s arguably the best brunch spot in downtown Nashville and there is normally a line wrapped around the building with a 2-hour wait so you know we had to try it. It did not disappoint! We went on a Thursday at 8:30am, one and half hours after they opened to avoid the crowds. To our surprise there was no long line and barely a wait. We ordered their most popular dishes the Bonuts and the East Nasty plus an egg. It was delicious and a great choice for breakfast. But just like that, around 9am the crowd started forming and within minutes there was a line out the door. So to avoid the crowds get there before 9a or be prepared for a wait. Don’t worry though, it goes by quick and once you are inside, you order your food, they seat you and you blink your eye and the food is at your table.
Hattie B’s
You cannot visit Nashville and not get hot chicken. It’s served just about everywhere so it’s not hard to find but again we decided to go somewhere where the line and crowds tell how good it is. There are locations all around Nashville. We visited the Broadway location because it was a short walk from the hotel. There was a line out the door, but it was worth it. The chicken was so flavorful, hot, fresh, and juicy. I could’ve eaten there everyday of our trip, it was that good!
Mas Tacos
You can’t go wrong with tacos and lucky for you these are delicious and only $3. I was full after one taco even though I stuffed myself and ate another one. They are world famous tacos for a reason. My recommendation is the pulled pork tacos but if you ask Brennan he would say get the spicy carne tacos.
L27 Rooftop Lounge
The views, drinks, and food are reason alone to go visit the rooftop at the Westin Nashville even if you do not stay there. Every drink we tried was delicious, not too strong but not too sweet either — which is how we like our cocktails to be. On the weekends they have a DJ and the atmosphere is such a cool vibe especially for a date. We ordered the burgers with waffle fries which were amazing! We 10/10 recommend you getting the burgers and fries or the chicken wing appetizer.
